The Super Bowl is the pinnacle of advertising with roughly 100 million viewers, even as ratings for other sporting events have dropped. According to NBC, who broadcasted this year’s game, 30 second spots sold for a record $7 million each. With around 70 ads, that’s a total of about $500 million spent on broadcast spots for Super Bowl alone.
